Built in 1860, this Amish built barn was constructed in north central Indiana just before the outbreak of the Civil War. This excellent example of early hand-hewned, post & beam construction was carefully dismantled and transported to the Durango area where it was rebuilt exactly as it originally stood. Located just seven miles outside of Durango, the ‘barn’ includes a 30 foot high living-dining-kitchen area, one King and five Queen beds, five bathrooms, with plenty of parking and wonderful views. Furnished with antiques from the Colonial to Civil War period, the barn is trimmed out with 160 year-old wood from the barn. Situated on 11 acres there is plenty of room to walk the property, take in the wonderful views, and enjoy all that Durango has to offer.
